I have been cutting. And stitching. And, as I once wrote as a job description"I take big pieces of fabric and cut them into small pieces. Then I sew them back into big pieces"
This is the unfinished top for '3 shirts to the wind'
The lines and stripes are staggering drunkenly all over and it was made from, well, 3 shirts of mine. Couldn't really call it anything else!
When I was into quilting (about 3 years ago) I quilted myself out - thanks to two large scale projects which took me almost 18 months to complete. Toys seemed so much smaller - and less demanding - and so far, have not changed my mind. But it does not stop me admiring others who still persevere!
ReplyDeleteMaybe, in between your quilting projects, you might care to visit my toy shop (www.coldhamcuddlies.etsy.com) and then read my blog at www.ColdhamCuddliescalling.blogspot.com where I write about how I make, mend and otherwise create the toys? It would be lovely to have you visit - and maybe comment, and then possibly Follow? Am about to follow you, after posting this! Cheers. Isobel
